Hi guys, so now I started to work on my final music video. Yesterday I went back to Alentejo to record the takes for the video with my brother. I decided to record him riding a horse, walking around the farm, and I also shot some videos of the farm’s views. I also decided to create a little story around the music video.

Here is a picture of me recording the view for the music video.

To edit my video, I used the imovie program from apple. It was the first time that I used it, but in general it was pretty easy to use. It has a good variety of fonts and transitions to input in the video.

Hi guys, so I am finally working on my final magazine, and I chose as my theme tourism, and since I live in Lisbon, one of Europe’s most touristic destinations, I used it as the destination of my magazine.

I worked mostly in the center of Lisbon, because most of the touristic points are there, and to take pictures I used my canon SX50 HS to take my pictures.

To edit my magazine I used the program Indesign. This year was the first time I used this program, but I found it really easy to use.

Hey guys, today I was working on the step by step of my video, I wanted to create the story of the video to match the time of the music that I chose. For doing this I used an website called studio binder, and I created an script of the video.

This is not my final script, there are still some changes to do, but it is the rough idea of what will happen in my video. This website was very useful because it helps you to arrange and gather all the information you need when creating videos.

Hey guys, so, today I was working over the pages of my magazine on Indesign, and trying to find a good layout for the images and the texts in the pages.

First I was working on my double spread. I choose a big picture of one of Lisbon’s most iconic monuments as the main picture of the page, and I was trying to arrange the texts and the images in the rest of the blank space, so that they would look harmonic.

After that I went to my content page. Here I put the main topics of the whole magazine, and I was also thinking to put a small description of each item below the topics. Other then that, I was trying to arrange the texts and the images so that they could have the same size on the page.

Hello guys, so, today I was trying to imagine and to create a little story for my music video, so I started searching for music videos on youtube to have ideas of what to do.

So first of all I started by looking at the original music video of the music I chose, and it is just a video of a cowboy in a type of video game, living his life in the far west, riding his horse, and having some adventures on the way. So I decided to take the part of the cowboy, and use in my video, I thought about creating a story of a young cowboy in a farm.

After that I found this music video, is quite an old video, but it shows a boy that goes to sleep, and he lives his “dreams”, and when he wakes up he sees that it was all a dream, so I decided to combine the cowboy with the dream, and create the story of a kid that dreams of being a cowboy, and when he sleeps, he becomes one.

Hi guys, today me and my class mates went on a wild trip to the center of Lisbon to take some pictures for our magazines.

It was really good day, because we could do a lot of work for our magazine, and we could also share ideas about our projects, and get help from our colleagues.

It was also great because he had our teaches brought loads of high quality equipments for our project, and we could take very good pictures.

This is the analysis of Augustus Gloop’s scene in the the chocolate factory movie, I will talk about the camera angles, shots, miss en scene, the sound and the editing

The scene starts with a point of view shot, that shows the reflection of the character, and then there is a medium shot that shows the other characters. At this moment we can see that the place of the scene is fictional and maybe even magical, due to its strange vegetation composed of candy trees and bushes, and even a chocolate river. After that there is a aerial shot that shows the main character falling into the river, and there is a suspense sound effect on the back. Then there is a two shot, focusing on the main character’s mom that is nervous and the factory owner. Then there is a wide shot of the main character while he is being sucked by a tube, and then gets stucked in it . After that there is a sequence of medium shots focusing on the other characters reactions on the event. After that, new characters are introduced in the scene, they are all dwarfs, and all have the same appearance, and they are also wearing a really futuristic cloth, helping the idea of a magical place, and there is a sequence of wide and long shots focusing on these characters. Now there is a joyful sound effect, and the dwarfs start singing. After that there are some medium shots on the first group of characters, showing their reactions on the happening. Now see can see an aerial shot of the dwarfs swimming in the river, and we can also see the boy there is still stuck in the tube. Then there is a sequence of wide shot on the dwarfs singing, medium shots on the group of characters showing their reactions, and medium close-ups on the kid in the tube, also showing his reaction. now there is a low angle showing the kid finally being sucked by the tube, and then a high angle of the group of characters.

Hey guys, so, today I was trying to have some ideas to start my magazine, so I decided so look for some examples of magazines online, and my teacher told me about this amazing website called Pinterest. There I can search for pictures of basically anything online, and save those pictures in folders that you can create.

So I created a folder on Pinterest called magazine ideas, to find examples of covers, double spreads and content pages, that could help me to think about my own magazine, and also to see how magazines work. It really gave me a nice idea of putting a giant image of an iconic place in the cover, so that I could emphasize the focus of the marine, tourism.

8 Mile – Analysis

In this post I will be analyzing the final rap battle in the movie 8 mile, I will be analyzing the camera angles, shots, mise en scene, the sound and the editing.

The scene starts with a three shot, and then there is a sequence of over the shoulder, to focus on the rappers, the crowd is quiet, and we can see that they are, probably in a warehouse in a poor area. After that the crowd gets really noisy because of a comment made by one of the rappers, and then there is a two shot to shows the other rapper reaction, and also shows the judge, and after that there is a medium close up on the judge. Then finally the battle starts, first there is a medium shot on the first rapper that is battling, and then an over the shoulder of him that shows the reaction of the crowd, and we can see that they are in a really crowded place. Now there is a sequence of of medium shots, focusing on the rapper and on his opponent reactions, and also some over the shoulder to show the crowd’s reaction. In the end of the battle we can see that the crowd goes crazy with the words of the rappers and there is a sequence of medium shots focusing on both rappers, and over the shoulder focusing on the crowd.
